Report – Mohd. Sarfaraz Alam
Sarhasa. There is an old saying ‘the price of mango kernels’. Rajendra Mukhiya, the shopkeeper of Sweets Corner located on DB Road of Saharsa district headquarters, has given meaning to this proverb. Earlier he used to sell only samosas and his shop used to open after noon. There was no work at his shop from morning to afternoon, but he had to pay the rent of the shop. In such a situation, he thought that delicious snacks should be sold in his free time. Now the situation is such that people rush to have breakfast at his shop in Saharsa.
The chief told that in the morning people wander here and there for breakfast but they do not get any other option other than litti-samosa, chole-bhature and mudhi-chura or ghugni. Thought of the idea to give them a better option for breakfast in the morning. He started serving five puris, two jalebis, urad dal dahi bada, chutney with vegetables and a plate decorated with salad in the morning breakfast in his sweets corner. As people became aware, the crowd increased.
What is the cost of the heavy breakfast?
His shop opens at 6 in the morning. After this, breakfast is sold till 2 in the afternoon. After this, samosas are sold till 8 in the night. The headman told that a full breakfast is available here for only Rs.40 at a clean place. Paramjit Kumar, who came to have breakfast at his shop, told that we had heard a lot about Sweets Corner. A few days ago I came to know that breakfast is also available here. Which is also very tasty so come here.
